Application Procedure

Application Forms are available at the Montserrat Community College. Courses to be offered will be advertised in the media stating the deadlines for receipt of applications. All applications must be addressed to the Principal and must be accompanied by certified copies of certificates and other supporting documents. Students awaiting results from overseas examining bodies must present these as soon as they are available.

On approval of the application for admission full-time and part-time students must register in person at Dates specified by the College below and which will also be advertised in the media.

Registration Procedure for Full Time (FT) Students

For registration, students must present the following:

  • A copy of their birth certificate or passport
  • Certificates or Copies of their CXC results if not presented with the Applications Form
  • Completed registration form signed by the designated staff member
  • The registration and other required fees
  • The appropriate tuition fees
  • Proof of residence status or time of arrival in Montserrat where necessary

Registration Procedure for Part Time (PT) Students

Part time students are required to complete the appropriate registration form and pay at the time of registration, the required annual tuition fee for the course/courses they are pursuing.

Note:

Lab fees apply to students enrolled in course requiring access to the respective laboratory. To qualify for the resident tuition fee a student must have resided in Montserrat for at least one year prior to entering the College. Students outside the CARICOM area must pay the full economic costs of their programme.

Fees for Part-time Programmes

The Fee for Part-time programmes is $150 per course ($200 for practical courses and those requiring the use of the Computer Lab) per 10-week term. Fees must be paid at the beginning of each term. If a course is of two or three terms in duration the full amount for the term should be paid at the beginning of the course and persons paying the full amount will qualify for a discount.

Application To College

New full-time and part- time students seeking to enter CXC CAPE; Pre-CAPE/ Foundation; Technical/Vocational courses for 2017-2018 must submit applications by AUGUST 14th . Students are asked to note that they are expected to apply . Application forms are available at the College or Here. Completed Application Forms could be sent by email to mcc@candw.ms; or addressed to the Registrar, MCC, P.O. Box 67, Salem, Montserrat or delivered in person.

Registration

  1. August 16-18th is the Registration and Advisement date for all new full-time students of CXC CAPE; Pre-CAPE/Foundation; Technical/Vocational Courses. Registering students are required to present proof of CSEC results, Birth Certificates, passports, proof of resident status.
  2. August 22-25 is the registration date for returning CXC CAPE part-time and full-time students.
  3. August 28-29 is the registration date for part-time CSEC and Continuing Education students

All students must be present by 10:00 am on the dates specified

THE 2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEAR COMMENCES ON SEPTEMBER 4th, 2017.

PART-TIME CLASSES BEGIN SEPTEMBER 18th, 2017.
